Here are a few afterthoughts on the article....

Honestly, there is no secret sauce when it comes to achieving your approvals through the FAA. However, it's pain-staking for the operator who's never been thru the process before, or has, but doesn't have the time to devote to gathering all of the information and documentation the FAA requires. Do you know which FAA forms to submit when applying? And when you do, are you prepared to answer all of the questions from that one particularly nit-picky FAA inspector? You can see where I'm going with this...

Do I want you to contact FoxThree for help? Absolutely. But our job is to also ensure that you're prepared when the time comes to apply for your Domestic or International approvals, those primarily being your RVSM, MEL and International Ops approvals. The best way to prepare is to work smarter, not harder. Be proactive with your approach. Gather copies of these critical pieces of information:

- Aircraft Registration
- Airworthiness Certificate
- Complete Avionics Equipment List
- RVSM Crew Training Certificates
- Copy of RVSM Service Bulletin (SB) if aircraft is RVSM certified using this method
- Aircraft Flight Manual Supplement for Flight Management System (if applying for RNP or International Operations)
- Maintenance Log Entry showing accomplishment of RVSM equipment upgrade from SB or STC
- Maintenance Log Entry showing most recent accomplishment of RVSM Certification (12and/or 24month inspection)

Now that you have all of this gathered, keep it up to date. Scan all of these documents into a single PDF file and save it as your "Ops Approval Supplemental Docs". Having these files gathered and at your fingertips will greatly speed up the time it takes for us to submit your application package to the FAA. We thank you in advance, and so does your VIP.
